Defect Tracking stores defects, features or suggestion information
by version. It also allows you to assign a particular employee to
that defect, as well as give it a status, and a problem type. To
learn how to enter basic defect information follow the steps below:
1)
From Advanced Defect Tracking select View, Defects.
2) Select Actions, Add Record.
3) Use the Version dropdown to select the product version this defect
was noted in. You may also wish to enter a date that this defect
was noted.
4) If this defect has been resolved, select the version it was fixed
in from the Fixed in Version dropdown. If you wish you can also
enter a date for when the defect was resolved.
5) Enter a Title and additional notes for the defect.
6) If you wish, you can assign the defect to an employee entered
in the employees view. Select the employee assigned to the defect
from the Assigned To dropdown.
7) Repeat steps 2-6 to enter additional defects.
