a new catalog in the Catalogs View |
In
order to create an easy-to-use catalog some initial planning
may be in your best interest. Take the time to think about
the products you have and group them into categories. Grouping
products into categories will allow you to find them much
easier. (For example: Housing/Flooring/Kits/Kit 2-14032).

From Advanced Precision Estimating select View, Catalogs. |
| 2)
Select Actions, Add Record you will see a Catalog form. |
| 3)
Modify the name of the catalog, and enter a description in the
Notes field. (If needed) |
| 4)
Create a few groups by selecting Actions, Add Group. |
| 5)
Change the group names accordingly by selecting on a group and
pressing F2, or left-clicking the mouse button on the selected
group. |

Add items to the group by selecting Actions, Add Item (make
sure you have an item selected when you do this). |
| 7)
You can change an items name by following step 5 above. |
| 8)
To change pricing information and other information related
to an item, select the item you wish to modify and make the
necessary changes in the Item Properties group. All changes
are automatically saved. To see more information about specific

When you are done adding items to the catalog you can select
File, Close. |

are now ready to create an estimate. |
